Ok, this is actually one of my favourite things to talk, or in this case, write about!! Goal setting is HUUUUUGE!! Maybe you have #squadgoals, or #relationshipgoals, but do you have any #reallife goals for yourself? If you’re already a goal-setting master, cheers to you! If you’re not, that’s okay, we will make you one today!

The great thing about having goals is it gives you something to work towards and keeps you in motion in your life and/or business. Without goals you may find yourself at a standstill and going through the motions of day-to-day life, without actually having any direction.

Having goals will help to fast track your desires, especially when there is a timeline attached to them.

This may all make perfect sense to you, but if you still feel resistance to goal setting, I may have a little insight as to why.

Did I hit the jackpot?! There may be a few reasons you aren’t setting goals, but I find this is usually a common one!

The fear of failure held me back from setting goals for WAY too effing long! I never used to set goals for myself because I was SO afraid I wouldn’t achieve them. I was thinking from a lack mentality, and basically believed that if I didn’t try, I couldn’t fail. Looking back now, I get slightly frustrated that I held back for so long, but I forgive myself because I just didn’t know any better.

If the fear of failure is holding you back from setting your goals, I want you to really think about the absolute worst that could happen if you set a goal and didn’t achieve it, and how that would make you feel. I promise it won’t be that bad. And once you realize this, goal setting won’t be so scary.

For so long I held back on setting goals that I finally reached a breaking point because my life was at a standstill. I finally decided to set some goals (although I was still scared sh*tless), and experienced a big ‘AH-HA’ moment during the process of working on them.

What I finally realized was, even if I didn’t achieve the end goal I desired, by working on the goals I set for myself I was getting SO much further than when I wasn’t setting goals in the first place.

PLUS, working towards my goals wasn’t even that scary, it was fun! I literally went from dreading goal setting to loving it because of the growth I would experience. My mindset was growing stronger, I was being challenged in new ways, and my business was growing as a result of it all.

What’s SOOOO BAD about that?!

Having an awesome go-to goal setting process can really help to simplify things, and narrow down your goals. While it’s awesome to have so many amazing things you want to achieve, try narrowing them down so you can stay focused, and have the law of attraction working in your favour!

I like to set goals in groups of 3 - Income, Business & Lifestyle, and in 3 time periods - 90 Days, 6 Months & 1 Year. You can even take this a step further and make 3, 5 & 10 year goals too!

Grab a piece of paper and write yours out! Get really clear on your desires, and what you want for yourself. Here’s a guideline for your goal layout (& do the same for 6 month and 1 year):

Income -

Business -

Lifestyle -

Once you've written out your goals, keep them in a place where you'll see them often, and read them every day. The more aligned you feel with your goals, the more the Universe will work with you in helping you achieve them.

The important thing to remember about goal setting is to be committed, but not overly-attached to the outcome to the point where you’re paralyzed by fear. Make goal setting fun, and see how you can continue to challenge yourself. Track your progress with your goals, and it won’t be long until you can look back and see how far you’ve come as a result of goal setting.

You go(al), girl!
